A lady of leisure, and provider of pleasure,
Was Peggy the lover of art,
Taking family wealth and spending it well,
With Duchamp’s advice giving her a start.
Bye Bye to New York and Bonjour to Paris
& to London: you just are a darling!
Collecting her works, her men and her stories,
all helped by the fact that she was so charming.
From Dada to Cubism, from sculpture to painting,
this lady showed she knew her stuff.
But she kept on going, as promise was showing
With Pollock & Co, Peggy never had enough.
Her destiny led her to the Venice Biennale
& here she did make her home,
Opening her unfinished house, to a public unknown,
And to sunbathe on the roof to show that Spring had come.
So thanks to this lady and her passionate followers,
We interns find ourselves in Venice,
To continue to show Art of that Century,
And for this we must say: thank you Peggy!

visiting_museums_with_proper_gusto (as_proper_ladies_&_gentlemen)
* Never touch art you don’t own, Or cant buy
* Delight in hushed conversation, but also relish silence
* Children should appreciate artwork as their parents do, never interfering with other patron’s expereinces.
* Acknowledge helpful and friendly staff with a big fat tip.
* Do not blow (on) the art.
* However inspiring the work may be, please keep your hands in your own pants.
* Limit group size to three persons, leaving room for everyone.
* Enjoy yourself, a little. It’s not an amusement park.
* Wouldn’t you rather have an audioguide, and be able to look at the art, then have a miniguide which keeps your nose in a book?
* Its not a church, but do wear clothes.
* Yes, the guards are watching you. The snoring is a recorded decoy.
* When you don’t know, feel free to call upon the educated staff. Making up stories will only get you into trouble.
* Of course, some of the work your children could do. Maybe they are geniuses too.
* Approach artworks like you are meeting a new person: From various angles. Openly. With polite respect until you gather enough history/gossip to ascertain its social relevance and whether you feel comfortable liking it
* You wouldn’t poke some- one you just met, would you?
* If it is in a Museum, it is considered art by people more important than yourself.

III_HIC_REQUIESCET_CORPUS_TUUM
Pax tibi, Marce, Evangelista meus!

*voice from the grave: reply dam'*it¿?· * im moving this post up 'cus this is the only thing thats changed on the blog the past few days... ! wheres the news from the pgc lately ? :D *
For our latest intern magazine project, we've been asking some old interns a few nosy questions. If you remember having leaned on the walls in palazzo, fighting with people about their bags and waiting for rotation; then post some quick responses in our comments!
1. When and for how long were you an intern?
2. What are you doing now?
3. How, if at all, did the internship help in finding your
next job?
4. What is your opinion of Peggy?
5. One lesson learnt whilst guarding.
6. Most ridiculous question / demand from a visitor
7. Aperol, campari or chinnati??
